National Park Service
Since 1916, the American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park partners, the men and women of the National Park Service are proud to safeguard these nearly 400 places and to share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year. But our work doesn’t stop there. The National Park Service is proud that tribes, local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individual citizens ask for our help in revitalizing their communities, preserving local history, celebrating local heritage, and creating close to home opportunities for kids and families to get outside, be active, and have fun. National Park Foundation
Chartered by Congress, the National Park Foundation is the official charity of America’s national parks.  We work hand-in-hand with the National Park Service to connect all Americans to their national parks.  By raising private funds, making strategic grants, creating innovative partnerships and increasing public awareness, the National Park Foundation is able to pass on the legacy of the national parks so they may be enjoyed by the generations who will follow.

The National Park Foundation is the national charitable partner of the National Park Service.
